I had a good weekend.
It started with me bussing up north to Edmonton, and my aunt picked me up at the bus depot, then we went to the mall, it was grand. We were going to go and watch a movie, but we were both too tired. So we went to the house, and then saw my uncle. He went to bed and then my aunt and I stayed up wrapping presents. It was a good time. In the morning, I was awoken by my likke cousin, it was kind of cute, but annoying at the same time. So I got up, it was my uncles Bday, and in the morning, he and I went to the store, to buy some groceries in the jeep. It was amusing, we went to park, and my uncle decided it would be funny to drive over the curb, and scare the crap out of me. So he did. And it was grand. Then we went for lunch, and then I took the kidlets ice skating, it was so great, cause I was there, tying Bobbys skates up, and it just reminded me of all the times Glen took Aleta and I skating, and he'd have to tie up my skates. (Aleta's Dad) It was a random moment of reminiscing.
So we skated, and I've never had more fun, Alexis was very independant, she skates like a pro, and I was so proud of her. Then Bobby, it was the cutest thing, he'd hold onto a bar, and then try to skate, and he'd look like he was running, but he wouldn't move an inch, and Then he'd give up and sit down.. It was amazing fun. I'd push him across the ice, and he'd giggle like mad, and then he'd want to sakte without the bar, and he would take these little baby steps, and fall over, then his big sister would come to help him up, and they'd both fall back over, laughing their heads off. I got some good videos of it.. After that, I drove the kids to wal-mart and bought them each a belt.. just cause.. And we went back home and had a huge dinner thing for uncle david's bday. It was nice. Then, Me, Uncle David and Auntie Jana went to go see the Narnia movie, it was fun.
Umm Sunday morning.. oh sunday morning! It was glorious, we went to Alexis's ringette game, and it was great to see these six year old kids with more talent for ringette than i'll ever have. I was so proud of my likkle girl.. Her jersey Number was "Samson 19"
It was a grand day.. Then we all went to the mall, and I spent most of the time with the kids in the amusement park, while David and Jana did their xmas shopping, and I didnt mind, It was great, cause they're just such good kids..
So that was that for that. Sunday night, I went to see my aunt play soccer, and I dont know how she managed it, when she constantly complains about pain in her back, but she did, and she was good. It was fun..
Monday morning, I woke up when Alexis decided she wanted to cuddle with me, and let me tell you, she has some of the worlds worst morning breath. It was amusing.. She came down at six in the morning, i tried to get her to go back to sleep, but that didnt happen, no sah!
So that day, Uncle David and I went, with Bobby, to return some bottles and cans, to get his hair cut! It was so cute, he sits up straight in the chair, like nobodys business, and just smiles the whole time, until he gets hair in his mouth, and then he pouts, but he still loves getting his hair cut. Anyways.. then I left that afternoon, it was sure nice to see them..
So here I am now, today was my last Missions class, my last Cultural Perspectives class, and my last Pentateuch class! It was amazing grand. I got 90% on both my papers, and 95% on my reading and reflection (all 10 pages of it, goodness me)
I also got a great mark on my Christian Spirituality paper, now all i have to worry about is CP..
Two more classes for the semester, and only four exams to worry about.
So I was listening to POD today, for some reason, and I was paying attention to the Lyrics.. Now, I've always thought that POD was a christian Band, and some aspects of the band, (their name, for instance) still suggest that. But I got really confused. POD mentions the name "JAH" in at least half of their songs. Now I've tried many times, with my history, to pass off the word Jah as another name for my God, but I've never gotten away with it... In the CD cover thingy, a couple of the singers praise Jah.. there's a song called "without Jah, nothin' " and so Im just a bit confused. are they christians who just happen to call God Jah? Or are they like.. rastas who believe in Jesus.. I mean, two of the boys have dreds.. I dont know.. Is there such a thing as a christian rasta? I emailed Duane, my old youth pastor, because he loved POD, and he's.. well.. my youth pastor.. So I'm hoping he'll have some insight, and if you do, feel free to comment, cause it'll probably help me..
Umm for now, I'm going to go cause It's nearly midnight, and i gots class in the morning.
Much Love
Forever
Ashley

"Every day is a new day
I'm thankful for every breath I take
I won't take it for granted
So I learn from my mistakes.
It's beyond my control,
Sometimes It's best to let go,
Whatever happens in this life time
So I trust in love
You have given me peace of mind. "
