Speaking of...

Hey . You know how the title of my last blog was the special olympics? It's funny because I had something to say about it, and I never did. That's kind of amusing. So now I'm going to tell you about what I was going to tell you in the first place. lol.
So at work the past week, we've been instructed to ask the customers if they'd be willing to donate a looney to send special olympians to the olympics in Manitoba. A looney, right? Not a big deal. But you'd be suprised how many people just say "No", and even better, how many poeople try to make up excuses about it. It just baffles me how people come in to staples, spend hundreds of dollars on themselves, and then refuse to spend a dollar on someone else. I dont know, it just amazes me that so many people are so selfish. People come in, spend two bucks, and when I ask them about it, they say no, and then hand me a twenty dollar bill, and get 18 dollars change. And then they buy a pack of gum for themselves, which is more expensive than a dollar.. I dont know, it's just an observation. People are generally selifish. But then there's the people who'll give five bucks.. It's wierd.
I dont know, and then I was thinking.. "Would I give money?" I think I would, to be honest, if I had it. It just seems like the right thing to do.
Sunday was my worst day with people giving money, cause they just wouldnt. When I was talking with one of my co-workers, she said, in all seriousness, that it was because they had all jsut come from church, and they gave money to the church, and dont want to give to anyone else. That struck me as odd, cause you'd think that the people just coming from church would be most likely to give.. But after that, every person who said no, I thought.. did she/he just come from church?
Anyways.. Those are my random musings for the day..
Think about it.. Would you give a dollar? ? ?
